A return to vlogging

A return to vlogging

In the early part of 2018 I began a YouTube channel with the idea of documenting my photography trips and sharing my experiences whilst out on location.

I had just started really getting into it when I fractured my foot and everything stopped!

But now I’m back on my feet again, I thought it was about time I returned to my YouTube channel.

Video of the month - August 2018

Well, I'm sure this months video of the month will come as no surprise. It inspired my last post and has even inspired a whole series of posts that I'm busy working on at the moment.

That's right (drum roll please), this months Video of the Month is Joseph Seager's video "5 Way Photography is Good for your Mental Health" .

In this video, Joseph talks about how he used photography to help him through a recent bout of poor mental health and why he feels it is important to break down the stigma attached to mental health.

A Chance for Reflection

A Chance for Reflection

Some of you might have noticed that I've been a bit absent from social media recently. My blog has been quiet, my Instagram feed has not changed in weeks and I haven't posted a video to YouTube in what seems like ages.

Unfortunately, I've injured my foot and have been forced to use crutches to get around and rest and ice my foot as much as possible. I haven't even been able to get into my office (which is in my attic) as I haven't been able to climb the ladder.

Video of the Month - June 2018

This months video comes courtesy of First Man Photography. I really like Adam's informative video's and he really comes across as a warm, friendly and very knowledgeable person. Recently, his production style has really improved - with his video's moving from just "vlogging" to a more cinematic feel. If you haven't come across First Man Photography on YouTube, I highly recommend you take a look!

Investing in Inspiration - 5 tips to boost creativity and improve your photography

There are many ways to invest in our photography.

When I think of investing in my photography, I tend to think of the obvious investments, such as new gear, like a new camera, new lens or new filters. However, new gear can be very expensive and, beyond owning a few of the basics (such as a camera and a tripod), the improvement in our images from owning a new piece of kit can sometimes be quite small.
