A return to vlogging

A return to vlogging

In the early part of 2018 I began a YouTube channel with the idea of documenting my photography trips and sharing my experiences whilst out on location.

I had just started really getting into it when I fractured my foot and everything stopped!

But now I’m back on my feet again, I thought it was about time I returned to my YouTube channel.

Video of the Month - November 2018

We’re getting to the end of November, but before we head straight into the festive season, I would like to share a video from earlier in the month from one of my favourite YouTube photographers - Nigel Danson.

In this video, he discusses photography in the rain (something that anyone who regularly photographs in the UK will be used to) and how to work with the conditions to create a compelling image.

A Chance for Reflection

A Chance for Reflection

Some of you might have noticed that I've been a bit absent from social media recently. My blog has been quiet, my Instagram feed has not changed in weeks and I haven't posted a video to YouTube in what seems like ages.

Unfortunately, I've injured my foot and have been forced to use crutches to get around and rest and ice my foot as much as possible. I haven't even been able to get into my office (which is in my attic) as I haven't been able to climb the ladder.

Video of the Month - June 2018

This months video comes courtesy of First Man Photography. I really like Adam's informative video's and he really comes across as a warm, friendly and very knowledgeable person. Recently, his production style has really improved - with his video's moving from just "vlogging" to a more cinematic feel. If you haven't come across First Man Photography on YouTube, I highly recommend you take a look!

Recommended Video of the Month - December 2017

Each month I post a video that I have found particularly inspiring or educational.

To kick off this regular feature, I would like to share one of my favourite videos by one of my favourite YouTubers - Sean Tucker.

He has a fascinating back story, takes beautiful photographs and I just love his thoughtful and calm approach to his videos and his photography in general.

This video (this one in collaboration with another of my favourite YouTubers, Simon Baxter) is one of his best!
