Video of the Month - January 2019

As you probably all know by now, I am nothing if not persistent!

We often only get that magical shot that we’ve already got in our head if we persist, work the scene, come back time and again and often fail over and over. but eventually, with time, patience and a small element of luck, we get that shot - and boy does it feel good!

In the early part of 2018 I began a YouTube channel with the idea of documenting my photography trips and sharing my experiences whilst out on location.

I had just started really getting into it when I fractured my foot and everything stopped!

But now I’m back on my feet again, I thought it was about time I returned to my YouTube channel.

We’re getting to the end of November, but before we head straight into the festive season, I would like to share a video from earlier in the month from one of my favourite YouTube photographers - Nigel Danson.

In this video, he discusses photography in the rain (something that anyone who regularly photographs in the UK will be used to) and how to work with the conditions to create a compelling image.

Since starting my campervan conversion I’ve been looking at a lot of YouTube video’s about van conversions. One of the best channels I’ve come across is called the Indie Projects.

Theo and Bea (the channel owners) have a real mix of video’s ranging from travel logs, photography advice, following their self build campervan project and a series of video’s showcasing alternative living spaces (such as campers, old ambulances, bothies and canal barges).

It’s been a while hasn’t it!

After fracturing the back of my heel towards the end of July, I though it was probably best to have a few weeks off in August to completely rest up and allow my foot to heal. And I’m please to say that I’m now OFF MY CRUTCHES!
